CANADIAN CANNIBAL: Did He Strike in Hollywood?

Police in Los Angeles are in discussions with authorities in Canada to try to figure out if Luke Magnotta, the man suspected of murdering and cannibalizing his gay lover, was involved in a grisly beheading in Hollywood in January.

An LAPD spokesman confirmed, “Out detectives are contacting their counterparts in Canada to see if the suspect was in Hollywood at the time.” Magnotta reportedly spent some time working as a gay prostitute in Los Angeles.

The 29-year-old Magnotta is now in a German jail awaiting extradition to Canada, where police suspect he murdered Chinese student Jun Lin in late May. He allegedly killed Lin with an ice pick, cut up his corpse and had sex and ate some pieces, while mailing others to Canadian officials.
