DANE COOK: Series Canceled Before It Starts

Dane Cook is looking for a new job — NBC has canceled his mid-season replacement sitcom Next Caller before it ever aired.

Cook had taped four episodes of the series, which centers on a foul-mouth satellite radio DJ who’s forced to work with a perky NPR-type co-host played by Collette Wolfe. But the network apparently wasn’t happy with the creative direction the show was taking and pulled the plug.
