Bed Bugs Avoid Blood With Higher Alcohol Content

Do you remember this rhyme: “Good night. Sleep tight. And, don’t let the bed bugs bite”?
Well, if you tip back a few drinks every night, you don’t have to worry about bed bugs biting you.
Researchers have found that the common bed bug, which mainly survives on human blood, stay away from people who’ve boozed it up a bit.
They much prefer alcohol-free blood to blood with alcohol in it. And, the higher the blood alcohol concentration (BAC), the less the bugs eat.
