Smokers may have more sleep problems

Researchers found that smokers get fewer hours of sleep and have less restful sleep than non-smokers.
How bad is it? Well, 17 percent of smokers got fewer than six hours of sleep each night – and 28 percent reported “disturbed” sleep quality.
While the findings sound bad, it doesn’t mean that smoking directly causes bad sleep, since smokers may also have other habits that can affect their shut-eye such as staying up late to watch TV or getting little exercise.
But then again, there’s a bunch of nicotine rushing through their bloodstream – and their breathing is probably messed up. Which, of course, can’t be good for sleep.Article Source
