We’re Having More Sex … But Are Less Satisfied

According to a survey by Trojan (yeah, that Trojan), American adults are having more sex − 151 times a year (on average) compared to 120 times last year − but their satisfaction with their sex lives has gone down.

By the Numbers:

67 percent said they were satisfied with their sex lives in 2012 vs. 76 percent in 2011.

81 percent said they were looking for ways to make their sex lives more exciting.

32 percent said they had sex outdoors, one-third said they’ve had sex on the beach, 25 percent said they had sex at their in-laws’ house.

56 percent said they were sexually adventurous. Those in the Midwest took the lead in sexual adventure with 60 percent.

23 percent admitted to sexting, 16 percent said they’d sent a sexy photo or video and 22 percent said they’d had phone sex.
