HILLARY CLINTON: Receives Rude Welcome in Egypt

There’s still plenty of anti-American sentiment in Egypt and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton received the brunt of it Sunday when she visited the country for the first time since the election of Islamist President Mohamed Mursi.

As her motorcade drove through the port city of Alexandra, protesters pelted the vehicles with tomatoes and shoes and shouted “Monica, Monica” — a reference to the White House intern who had an affair with her husband, Bill Clinton.

According to a state department official, neither Clinton nor her vehicles were struck by any of the objects thrown.
