Mitt Romney Announces Paul Ryan As Vice Presidential Running Mate

The Romney campaign has just announced Saturday that the presumed Republican nominee for the presidency of the United States has chosen Congressman Paul Ryan of Wisconsin to be his vice-presidential running mate.

Mitt Romney is scheduled to make the formal introduction at 9:00 Saturday, by the USS Wisconsin, which is docked in Norfolk, Virginia.

Ryan is the chairman of the House budget committee, and a strong proponent of reducing government spending.
