OBAMA, ROMNEY: Crack Jokes at White-Tie Dinner

President Obama and his Republican challenger Mitt Romney were in the same room on Thursday night and they weren’t at each other’s throats, rather they were cracking jokes about each other and themselves at a dinner for New York Catholic charities.

The two politicians and the rest of the male guests sported white ties at the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner. The occasion offered the two men a break from their battle, which resumes with the final debate on Monday with less than three weeks to go before the election.
