Romney Adviser Makes Controversial “Anglo-Saxon” Comment

Mitt Romney’s campaign is getting some flak after an adviser suggested that President Obama isn’t as close a friend to the U.K. as he could be because he doesn’t appreciate the two countries’ “Anglo-Saxon” link.

The adviser told London’s Telegraph, “We are part of an Anglo-Saxon heritage, and [Romney] feels that the special relationship is special. The White House didn’t fully appreciate the shared history we have.”
