‘Words are … inadequate,’ Obama tells families of Colorado shooting victims

July 23, 2012 - 8:04 pm | Category: Politics

President Obama visited with the victims and the families of those injured and killed in the Colorado movie theater shooting Sunday evening and then addressed the nation about the tragedy.

In his speech, Obama attempted to deflect the attention away from the shooter and onto some of the victims and heroes that helped save the lives of those wounded in the shooting early Friday morning during midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises in Aurora, Colorado. A dozen people were killed and 58 were injured in what’s being called the worst mass-shooting in U.S. history.
