McQueary files defamation suit against Penn State

There’s been another lawsuit filed in the Jerry Sandusky child molestation scandal.
This time former Penn State graduate assistant Mike McQueary, the man who testified he saw Sandusky showering with a young boy, sued the university on Tuesday claiming defamation and misrepresentation.
He’s seeking millions of dollars in damages claiming the university’s treatment of him since Sandusky was arrested in November has caused him distress, anxiety, humiliation and embarrassment.
The lawsuit claims that Penn State then-president Graham Spanier suggested that McQueary “was lying is his reports and testimonies that he had reported the sexual misconduct” and those statement “irreparably harmed [his] reputation for honesty and integrity and have irreparably harmed [his] ability to earn a living, especially in his chosen profession of coaching football.”
