NFL: Referees Lockout Coming to an End

This will come a few days too late for Green Bay Packers fans, but it looks like the NFL is close to returning the regular referees to work. ESPN says that the league and the Referees Association have an agreement in principle, and the officials could be back on the field this weekend. Replacement officials have been handling games thus far this season, including the pre-season.

The NFL has been under tremendous pressure to make a deal with its officials ever since a blown call at the end of Monday night’s game awarded a win to the Seattle Seahawks over the Packers.
