Roger Clemens Is Going To Play Professional Baseball Again

Roger Clemens is going to pitch again — at least for one game. The controversial 47 year-old pitcher is heading to the mound Saturday for Texas’s Sugar Land Skeeters of the independent Atlantic League. Clemens worked out for the team on Monday and reportedly threw 87 miles per hour. That might raise some eyebrows for some fans, since he hasn’t pitched since 2007 and just two months ago was acquitted of perjury about his use of steroids.

Some baseball writers are already speculating that Clemens might try to parlay the independent stint into a spot on a major league roster in September.
