Amazon Challenges Apple With Updated Kindles in Crowded Market

Amazon is going head-to-head with Apple with their new Kindle Fire HD, which the company unveiled Thursday in Santa Monica, California.

In their new line, Amazon is offering a 7-inch model for $199 or $240, an 8.9-inch screen version for $299 or $369, and a $499 or $599 version with 4G wireless technology and a whole slew of other features, including two antennas for better wireless connectivity and dual stereo speakers with Dolby Digital Plus audio.
