Hackers Play Ball with MLB Teams’ Facebook Accounts

If your favorite baseball team’s Facebook status seemed a bit off today, you can blame it on hackers that hit pages for the Yankees, the Cubs, the Giants, the White Sox, the Marlins, the Padres and the Angels.
On the Yankees’ page a hacker wrote, “We regret to inform our fans that Derek Jeter will miss the rest of the season with sexual reassignment surgery. He promises to come back stronger than ever in 2013 as Minnie Mantlez.”
The Cubs’ account had an offensive remark about Bill Murray, while the Giants hack got political with a message about the president of Chick-fil-A. The White Sox hack noted that President Obama is a fan, but said they’re voting for Mitt Romney. As for the Angels, the hacker wrote, “Check out the sweet bazongas in the blond in section 27, row 3!”
