Expect to see proprietary Apple maps and no built-in Youtube app when the next iPhone launches.
Those are just a couple of the details coming from the latest batch of rumors about the iPhone 5.
Apple’s license with Youtube to include a pre-installed app on its smartphone has expired, and Google is working behind-the-scenes on a more optimized iPhone experience, so there will of course be a better-than-ever Youtube presence on the iPhone 5 but it won’t be included out of the box.
And this shouldn’t come as any surprise, but Apple is also expected to make its proprietary maps application prominently on display in the new iPhone.
Among the other solid, tangible details about the new iPhone that have leaked through the rumor mill is it will have technology that would allow the company to integrate both the touch sensor and the actual LCD panel in one component.
