Pinterest launches iPad, Android apps

After months of anticipation, Pinterest has gone all in on mobile with the launch of a native iPad app and its debut on Android.

Version 2.0 of the iPhone app is also now available in iTunes. It introduces a 2-column layout and includes better usability and improvements to stability and performance.

The announcement was followed by an official blog post from Pinterest detailing the new apps. The Android app has been custom designed for Android phones and tablets of all cost, speed and size. Meanwhile, the post puts forth the iPad app as possibly “the best Pinterest experience yet.”
