Beggar in wheelchair got up for a stroll

Cops in one Norwegian town told a wheelchair-bound panhandler to take a hike – after he was spotted getting up out of his motorized chair to take a walk for a change of batteries!
The beggar, who was holding a sign claiming that he was paralyzed, was doing a bang-up business on a busy street-corner – so much so that he was found to have more than $1600 in cash on him at the time police stopped him for questioning. He’d apparently been pulling variations on the scam for most of the 20 years he’d been living in Norway.
Since officers on the scene couldn’t determine a charge, they simply shooed him out of town and made him promise never to return.
