Hospital removes eel from man’s bum

Last week, a man went to the Auckland City Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand . . . with an entire EEL shoved into his rectum.

The hospital didn’t say how the eel got up there. They also didn’t say whether the eel was still alive, but we get the impression it was. The doctors took some X-rays and a source says, quote, “The eel was about the size of a decent sprig of asparagus.”

But thanks to modern medicine, they were able to rescue the eel from its dark adventure without causing any lasting damage to the eel OR the patient. Those are the only details they would release, quote, “out of respect for the patient.”
