IRAN: 300 Killed, 5,000 Injured in Earthquakes

Thousands of injured earthquake victims overcrowded hospitals in northwest Iran on Sunday as rescuers continued to search for survivors after two quakes killed about 300 people.

After the quakes hit on Saturday, fearful residents slept in the streets or in makeshift tents as the region was rocked by up to 60 aftershocks.
