‘Queen of Cocaine’ killed in Colombia

Colombia’s so-called Queen of Cocaine was shot to death in the northwestern city of Medellin, police confirmed yesterday.

69-year-old Griselda Blanco was killed by two bullets fired at close range in a hit that authorities say was similar to the ones that she masterminded during the ’70s and ’80s.

According to witnesses, the assailant apparently was riding a motorcycle, which was heard along with the sound of two gunshots on Monday afternoon. When authorities arrived at the scene, they found Blanco lying in a puddle of blood.
