The World’s New Strongest Beer is as Strong as Grain Alcohol

There may be a new Guinness world record for WORLD’S STRONGEST BEER.

A brewery in Scotland called Brewmeister has created a new beer called Armageddon that has an alcohol-by-volume content of 65%. That means it’s 130 proof . . . which is about the same as grain alcohol.

In a 12-ounce bottle, you’d be putting down almost eight ounces of pure alcohol . . . that’s arguably enough to send you to the hospital. You’d have to drink about 15-and-a-half bottles of Miller Lite to get the same amount of alcohol.

The people at Brewmeister say the beer is made of wheat, flaked oats, and crystal malt. Which sounds like crystal meth, and clearly is in the same ballpark.

They encourage people to drink it, quote, “like a fine whiskey . . . be careful, smelling it is probably enough to put you over the [legal] limit.”

The beer will debut next month at a European beer festival. They’ve submitted it to the Guinness world records people as a candidate for world’s strongest beer.
